SUMMIT ACADEMY KNIGHTS OPEN WITH BIG WIN AGAINST SCHENLEY SPARTANS
Summit Academy opened its 2010-2011 football season at home on Saturday against the defending City League Champion, Schenley Spartans.
Starting strong, the Knights built a 18-8 lead by halftime based on the pin-point passing of quarterback Andre Williams who completed 8-11 passes for two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

An opportunistic defense forced four fumbles, recovering three of them. The defensive line also accumulated several sacks and kept up the pressure all afternoon. Summit finally put the game away in the last four minutes with a 59-yard touchdown run by Williams and another 89 -yard touchdown run by Rashaun Burney.

Summit Academy is now set to face the South Fayette Lions, possibly their toughest opponents of the season as the Lions are currently predicted to be this year’s AA state champions. That home game is scheduled for 12:30pm this Saturday. GO LUCK KNIGHTS!!!
