Operating under a private, academic, secondary education license, students of The Summit Academy have the opportunity to receive their high school diploma while enrolled in the school. Those who are eligible to receive their diploma participate in the annual graduation exercises in June, and are supported by proud parents, family, friends, judges, and Summit staff who are all invited to attend.
The exercises take place in the school’s non-denominational chapel, where graduates walk the aisle to pomp and circumstance; and to their destiny. Speeches are given by guest judges of the court, Mr. C., and the valedictorian of the graduating class. Before a crowd of proud family and friends, peers and teachers, seniors receive their high school diploma; an invaluable tool in their future success.
Upon reception of their diploma, students are also offered the Samuel A. Costanzo Scholarship, named after the school’s founder and Headmaster, in the amount of $2,000 toward their first year in a post-secondary education setting.
