We believe it is essential that each student have community-based resources available to him when he returns home. The Summit Academy's Aftercare Program is an intensive program which is committed to ensuring that our students continue on a positive and successful path when they return to their communities. Supervised by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, our program consists of professionals who serve as intensive case managers to our students and their families.
Upon placement, students are assigned a Aftercare Worker whose job is to develop attainable goals which will best serve the needs of each student. During a student's enrollment at The Summit Academy, Aftercare Workers make regular home visits with the student's family and conduct face-to-face meetings with the student to carefully assess needs and goals. Aftercare Workers take a holistic approach to Aftercare and work closely with Probation Officers, Family Court, the school district, community-based collaborative partners, families and students.
Once a student is finished with his enrollment at The Summit Academy, intensive monitoring and case management provide a solid foundation and opportunity for success. Aftercare Workers make it a priority that the physical, mental, and emotional needs of every student is addressed.
