Counselor/Teacher
Qualifications: Must possess either a PA Professional Teaching Certificate OR a four-year degree, which includes 18 semester hours in a core subject and 6 semester hours in education. (These six hours can be acquired while working for The Academy and will be financed by the school.)
Responsibilities: Teach academic subjects at the secondary-education level; offer guidance to students
Counselor Specialist (Drug and Alcohol)
Qualifications: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field as outlined by the Division of Drug and Alcohol Licensing, (i.e. Psychology, Sociology)
Responsibilities: Lead group and one-to-one drug and alcohol abuse counseling sessions, and maintain weekly communication with students’ families
Counselor Specialist
Qualifications: Drive and enthusiasm to positively influence students, loyalty to job
Responsibilities: Lead group and one-to-one counseling sessions and maintain weekly communication with students’ families
Industrial Trade Instructor
Qualifications: Must possess formal training or real-work experience in the Industrial Arts
Responsibilities: Instruct our students in more than 16 vocational classes, such as Food Service, Computer Science, and Carpentry
Night Counselor
Qualifications: Drive and enthusiasm to protect school and students, loyalty to job
Responsibilities: Student welfare, building security, and preparing students for the start of each new day; Consists of four, consecutive 10-hour nights
EMT
Qualifications: Certification in Emergency Medical Services
Responsibilities: Distributing student medications, scheduling and transporting students to appointments, and providing medical support to the athletic program
