All candidates must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and obtain Child Abuse, Criminal History, FBI and physical clearances upon employment.

Qualifications: Possess either a PA Professional Teaching Certificate OR a four-year degree, including 18 semester hours in a core discipline and 6 semester hours in education.(Education or discipline credits may be earned while working for The Academy Schools.)
Counselor/Teachers are responsible for providing instruction for our students in one of our core disciplines: mathematics, English, social studies, health & physical education, and science. This is a full time, year round position and the hours are 6:30am – 3:00pm Monday - Friday.
Qualifications: Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling. Part-time positions also available at an hourly equivalent.
Mental Health Therapists perform assessments and create treatment plans for our students. In addition, Mental Health Therapists conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students and maintain documentation regarding student performance and progress. This is a part-time position that requires between 20-30 hours per week.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Counselor Specialists are responsible for serving as positive role models and facilitating daily activities, including group and individual counseling sessions. Hours for this position are 2:30pm – 11:00pm Monday - Friday.
Qualifications: Associates degree preferred but not required.
Night Counselors maintain student safety and building security during the overnight hours and facilitate the morning routine prior to the start of the school day. The hours for this position are 10:30pm – 8:30am, 4 nights a week.
Qualifications: Must possess formal training or real-work experience in the Industrial Arts
This position provides hands-on instruction in various trade classes. Industrial Trades Instructors are also responsible for supervising small work crews. Hours for this position are 10:00am – 6:30pm Monday - Friday.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, part-time, weekend-only schedule.
Weekend Activities Coordinators are responsible for facilitating activities for our students throughout the weekend. The hours are 7:15am – 10:45pm every Saturday and Sunday. This position includes full-time compensation and benefits during a weekend only schedule.
